Saturday evening dinner at The Prime Rib. The Prime Rib is located in Rittenhouse Square (1701 Locust Street). To me, there is nothing better than eating at an amazing steakhouse on a Saturday evening with my mom. My mom and I had a reservation for 7:30pm, but when we went to valet our car, the valet service told us some disappointing news- their parking lot was full. My mom and I had to circle around and try and find another vacant parking lot. After 30 minutes, we were finally able to find a spot. Fortunately, the Prime Rib held our reservation and we were seated within minutes.
My mom and I were seated in a corner with two comfy, black, leather chairs. It was the perfect spot for dinner. The atmosphere was romantic and calm. The noise level was perfect- not too loud, not too quiet. My mom and I had a sweet and attentive waiter. The waiter is always key to a happy dinner experience.
I really enjoyed how our waiter gave us a lot of time between drinks, giving us the menu, appetizers, salad, entree, and dessert. My mom and I were at The Prime Rib for a little over two hours, but the waiting period between each course made us not feel sick or rushed. If you go to The Prime Rib, make sure you have ample time to spare for dinner.
My mom and I decided to go with the Lobster Bisque for an appetizer, Caesar salad, 8 oz Filet Mignon, Potato Au Gratin, and Strawberry Cheesecake (for me) and Chocolate Cake (for my mom) for dessert.
The Caesar salad was amazing. I loved the unique dressing. It was the quintessential portion. The 8 oz Filet Mignon was perfect. I ordered my filet medium-well (a little pink in the center). It was so good, I had to take the rest of my filet home. I’m so excited to have my filet for lunch tomorrow! The Potato Au Gratin was creamy and cheesy – just the way I love it. Usually, after a big dinner, I am never hungry for dessert, but since our waiter paced our meal, I was in the mood for a delicious dessert. I decided to select the Strawberry Cheesecake. My mom decided to have the Chocolate Cake. We decided to share both of our desserts. They were so yummy. We decided to relax and enjoy the ambiance at The Prime Rib after dessert.
My mom and I both liked how the Prime Rib was not too crowded during the 8:00pm dinner time. The Prime Rib was the perfect Saturday night dinner. Even though the valet was an obstacle, the dining experience is a must. The Lobster Bisque, Caesar Salad, 8 oz Filet Mignon, Potato Au Gratin, Strawberry Cheesecake, and the Chocolate Cake were all mouth-watering. If you are ever in Philadelphia, you need to have dinner at The Prime Rib. You will not regret it! Enjoy! xoxo
