Happy November! I can not believe that it is November already! Time is quickly flying by! On Thursday night, I went to POD which is located at 3636 Sansom Street. I went with 4 other friends and we were surprised by how uncrowded POD seemed to be on a Thursday evening. It may have been that it was Halloween, but I heard that POD is becoming unpopular due to the terrible service and overpriced meals. I personally loved their atmosphere. I felt like I was having dinner at a modern, fun dance club in the city. The music was loud and it is a fun place for college students. We waited for our waitress, which seemed to be forever to come over and take our drink order. Our waitress honestly took 20 minutes to bring back a total of 5 drinks for our table. We would have gotten the drinks ourselves and had 3 rounds at the rate she was going.

Finally after numerous wasted minutes, our waitress came over to take our order. I had the Seafood Fried Rice and the Crab Spring Rolls. They were both amazing. I loved the Crab Spring Rolls as a started appetizer. My friend and I split the Seafood Fried Rice and Crab Spring Rolls. There was more than enough for us to share and have a little bit of leftovers.

After sharing and eating a delicious dinner, we waited for our check. Once again, our waitress took forever. Dinner should have generally taken us an hour tops, but with our terrible waitress, we were there for 2 hours. One hour just waiting for her to come back to the table after waving her down numerous times.

Overall, it was an interesting experience. It was nice seeing my friends, hanging out in a cool restaurant with a fun atmosphere, having good food, but the bad part was having terrible service. Having a terrible waitress can almost ruin the whole experience. If you’re ever in Philadelphia, and have a few hours to spare, you should definitely try POD. Their food is actually really, really good! xoxo
