Yummy, yummy, yummy. Restaurant week was absolutely fabulous. As I’m writing this blog post, I’m sitting in front of my computer eating leftovers from last night. For the last night of restaurant week, I went to The Capital Grille with two of my friends. The Capital Grille in Philadelphia is located on 1338 Chestnut Street. We had our dinner reservation for 8:30pm. We arrived and it was packed in the waiting area. The atmosphere was very romantic and puts one instantly in the mood for wine. The wine selection was insane. So many different bottles. We decided to go with the Pinot Grigio.
For the appetizers, we ordered two Caesar salads and one Lobster Bisque. They were both divine.
For our entree, my friends ordered Salmon and I ordered the Filet Mignon 8oz. Once again, it was perfect. I like my filet’s temperature to be exactly medium-well and it was very accurate.
Our waiter, absolutely loved us and we absolutely loved him. He was extremely attentive and overall an excellent waiter. I’m the type of person to go out to eat 7 days a week and I’ve had my share of baaaaaad waiters. I appreciate the exceptional waiters and last night, he was wonderful. After our entree, we were stuffed, but we ordered dessert at the beginning of the meal, so we knew it was coming. We ordered two Flourless Chocolate Cakes and one Creme Brulee.
We were so stuffed that we couldn’t finish our dessert, so we took home what was left of our meal. I just finished eating my leftovers as I’m concluding this post. The leftovers were as good as it was last night. If you’re ever in Philadelphia, you need to stop by The Capital Grille, I promise you, you will not be disappointed! As The Capital Grille says, “Be Wined, Dined & Dazzled”!
